After working in manufacturing for 40 years I have changed careers. If you remember Maslow's hierarchy of needs from your school days you will probably recall that after our basic needs are met we move toward the self-actualization, or give-back, phase. That is where I am at. After authoring a book about my experiences at using lean thinking and lean tools to drive workplace safety improvement I stopped working 40 hours a week and began to consult. My goal is to positively impact workplace safety.
